Supporting local charities | #spilsbystrongertogether

The Spilsby Show is an annual event, held each year on the second Sunday of July. Once, second only in size to the Lincolnshire Show, the event may now be held on a smaller scale, but it is still one of the most popular events in the county’s calendar. The Show is organised by a dedicated Committee of over 15 people, who work voluntarily throughout the year, planning the event and making sure it all goes smoothly, enabling our visitors to have a great day out with their family and friends.

The Show is held in order to raise as much money as possible for local charities and other worthy organisations. In October 2019, at their most recent Presentation Night, the Show Committee distributed in excess of £6,000 to local charities and other good causes. Apart from a small amount of working capital, every pound received or spent on Show day is given directly to organisations in Spilsby and the surrounding area allowing them to continue their own good work.

Records show that the event began back in the 1880’s. The Show was once a two day event however, from 1994 it became a one day event. It moved to the site it occupies today in July 2002.

Our main aim is to organise an event which is enjoyed by all visitors. If you would like to help us in this vision, please consider advertising with us in our Show programme, alternatively, you can have a banner on the showground or sponsor a link on this site to your own website. You can also sponsor a marquee, an event, book a Trade Stand, Charity Stand or purchase space in our Craft Tent.

Without the tremendous support of the public and the generosity of local and national businesses, individuals and all our helpers and volunteers, the Spilsby Show would not be the success that it is. Without this help from the public, our sponsors, advertisers, exhibitors and all of the individuals who give their time so generously, the Show would simply not be possible.
